Still family-run, Mellis offers expertly curated selections from across the UK and Europe alongside tailored in-store advice, and today operates six locations across Scotland and London, including its newest site in Crouch End.

THE KINTYRE SMOKEHOUSE

The Kintyre Smokehouse, based in Campbeltown is the passion of entrepreneur, Archie MacMillan, a trawler fisherman from the age of 15. Archie brought this derelict kipper house back to life over 35 years ago and it now boasts a wide range of artisan smoked products. Their product range and the smokehouse may have diversified over the years but their philosophy of hand crafting products using only the finest ingredients remains the same. Archie was warded the M.B.E. in 2018 for his services to the seafood industry.
